Residential Snow Removal

We provide reliable residential snow removal to keep driveways and access areas clear and usable throughout the winter season using a consistent, weather-based system.

Snowfall Trigger and Service Timing

Service begins at a half-inch (0.5”) snowfall trigger based on recorded area snowfall from official and regional weather sources, not individual driveway measurements. Service is performed after snowfall has stopped or after each set of approximately 4 inches of accumulation during ongoing storms. When multiple passes are required, a final cleanup pass is completed once snowfall ends.

Driveway Plowing

Driveways are plowed full width from the street to the garage or designated parking area. Snow is placed in on-site storage areas, typically near the end of the driveway or in a clear area where space allows.

Walkways and Access

Primary walkways and entry paths are cleared to maintain safe and usable pedestrian access to the home. This includes walkways leading to front doors, garages, and main access points. Walkway clearing is performed using hand tools or light equipment depending on access and conditions and is coordinated with driveway plowing to limit re-accumulation where possible.

Optional Hand Salting and Ice Control

Hand-applied salt or ice-melt service is optional and must be selected prior to the start of the season. When included, de-icing materials are applied after the final snow event has ended to treat surfaces for ice buildup caused by refreeze, compaction, or temperature changes. This service reduces slippery conditions but does not provide zero-tolerance or ice-free surfaces at all times.

Property Surface Impact Notice

Snow plowing and ice management may affect surrounding turf, landscaping, and hard surfaces. Plowing can result in minor grass or turf damage along driveway edges, especially during early or late-season events. Repeated exposure to salt or ice-melt products may cause dead grass, plant stress, or surface wear over time. These effects are considered a normal part of winter snow and ice management.

Winter Safety Notice

Winter conditions are inherently variable, and treated surfaces may still be slippery due to weather, refreeze, or ongoing conditions. Ice management reduces risk but does not eliminate it, and the contractor is not responsible for slip-and-fall incidents.

City Plow Windrow Callbacks

City plowing may create snow windrows at driveway entrances. Callback service is available upon request and billed at 30 percent of the original plow price for that event.
