Commercial Snow Removal
We provide dependable commercial snow plowing and sidewalk clearing to keep properties open, accessible, and operating safely throughout the winter season. Service is delivered under a consistent, weather-based system designed for commercial sites with higher safety and compliance expectations.
Snowfall Triggers and Service Timing
Commercial snow service is triggered at a half-inch (0.5”) of recorded area snowfall, based on official and regional weather data rather than on-site measurements. Trace snowfall below this threshold does not automatically trigger plowing but is monitored for refreeze, compaction, or additional accumulation.
Service is performed after snowfall has stopped or after each set of approximately 4 inches of accumulation during ongoing storms. When conditions require multiple passes, a final cleanup pass is completed once snowfall ends.
Parking Lots and Drive Lanes
Plowing includes parking lots, drive lanes, fire lanes, loading areas, and primary access routes. Snow is pushed to designated on-site storage areas identified before the season. During prolonged storms, access routes are maintained as conditions allow, followed by final cleanup.
Sidewalks and Pedestrian Areas
Sidewalk clearing is included as part of the commercial snow service and covers sidewalks, entrances, ramps, steps, and emergency exits. Clearing is coordinated with plowing operations and performed using hand tools or mechanical sidewalk equipment as site conditions allow.
Ice Management and De-Icing
Ice management is a standard part of commercial snow service. Salt or ice-melt materials are applied following plowing and sidewalk clearing to address ice caused by refreeze, compaction, and temperature changes. Application timing, materials, and coverage areas are determined by the contractor based on conditions and safety needs. This service reduces slip risk but does not provide zero-tolerance or ice-free conditions at all times.
Surface and Site Considerations
Snow removal and ice management may result in minor turf disturbance, edge wear, or surface impact to pavement, curbing, or concrete, especially during early or late-season events. These effects are a normal part of commercial snow operations.
Snow Storage and Hauling
Snow is stored on site in designated areas whenever possible. Snow hauling or off-site removal is performed on an as-needed basis and is not included unless specifically authorized.
